Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) – Tapping
Tapping–also known as the Emotional Freedom Technique or meridian tapping–is a form of psychological acupressure, based on the same energy meridians used in traditional acupuncture.
Simple tapping with the fingertips is used to input kinetic energy onto specific meridians on the head and chest while you think about your specific problem and voice affirmations.
The combination of tapping the energy meridians and voicing positive affirmation works to clear the charge or “short-circuit” emotional or physical blocks, thus restoring your mind and body’s balance. It’s like a reboot for your system!
This powerful technique has a wide use spectrum. As a self-help tool, EFT is easy to learn and flexible enough to be used by anyone. At the other end of the spectrum, skilled practitioners are successfully using EFT with trauma victims who have found limited relief through other modalities.
